Four days to go till a major recharge opportunity!  There's nothing like friends and families to give us that boost we need!

Important Items to Know:

Literacy PD - From Aimee,  all K-6 teachers district wide need to collect a sample from the December testing window of the writing about reading portion. Please submit your samples to your principals by Jan. 3.  Let me know if you have questions!

Afterschool Programs - Only 1 staff response for this for Dec., so we moved it to Jan.  During the month of Jan.., we will be offering after-school programming from 2:45 - 4:45 Wed. afternoons - Jan. 11, 18, 25.  .   Thoughts about courses are "Kid Chef," "Reading Rainbow," "Math Mania," "Chess Champs," "Outdoor Potpourri."  If you have another option you'd love to offer, please talk to me about it.  There will be snack provided, a strong academic them, but in a project/inquiry based setting.  Please let Cathy if you'd like to earn some "extra" money and participate in this program.

When in doubt, wait, please. Just because it's been done in the past does not mean it is the most effective action to take. Please see me if you have any concerns. I am here to support you. Thank you for your respect and consideration.

SURPRISE - There is a new large copier in the office. The codes have not been implemented yet, so please limit your color copies.

ACT 46 FORUM - Please join us so you'll see the presentation. You are free to participate and ask questions.

Literacy PD - AT RES, this Thurs., Nov. 17 -Teacher expectations - please plan ahead:
  • Collect a class set of Writing about Reading response to planning.  
  • Co-plan with Aimee a Mini-Lesson.  
  • Teach the lesson.  Debrief about what was found 
  • Please read the "November Focal Area for Literacy" that was placed in your mailboxes.
