Dear Dedicated  Staff, KUDOS to STAFF Who "Stepped Up":   Paitra & her mom for helping me out with the Community Feast! Gr. 5/6 Students for helping set up and serve the FEAST!   Glen and Jill for helping cover duty holes!   Important Items to Know : Staff Changes - We wish Jared the best as he steps down to pursue his academic career.  His last day is Monday.  Eric is joining us but will be in from 12 - 8 daily.  Please continue to put maintenance requests in my box as I will create his daily "to do" list in addition to his daily custodial duties. Dear Hardworking  Staff, KUDOS to STAFF Who "Stepped Up":   Lisa for helping out with the Feast by cooking a turkey! Paitra for helping me out with the Community Feast! All of you who met with parents last week! Important Items to Know : Paraeducator Change  - We wish Ms. Whitcomb well as she moves on.  We welcome Mrs. Murphy who will be joining Gr. 2/3/4 full-time after Thanksgiving break.   Pole Destruction - With our first snow event, our light pole at the end of the parking lot was hit by the plow.  We are working on getting it repaired.   Thanksgiving Feast - Recess should end at 12:50 PM.  5th and 6th graders will be helping serve the meal.  We will all be eating at the same time, so lunch may run over past its normal time. Dear Caring  Staff, KUDOS to STAFF Who "Stepped Up":   Jen for all her extra work covering her student with no 1:1 and no special ed. sub. Amy for having lunch in the PK room when I couldn't give her coverage due to no subs. Paitra for helping me with lunch duty when there was only me there due to no para and no subs for special ed. All of you who have provided your parent teacher conference schedules to me. Important Items to Know : Radios - Just a reminder that if you are outside with your student you should have a radio with you.  If a child needs to come in, feel free to use the radio to call for assistance so you don't have to leave your "post."   Playground Injuries - If a child is injured when they are on the playground, the staff who sends a child in for "advanced first aid"(i,e., a fall on the head, more than a band aid, etc.)  is expected to fill out the student injury report. Dear Tireless Staff, KUDOS to STAFF Who "Stepped Up":   Lisa for all her hard work with the pumpkin carving! Important Items to Know : Fire Prevention Presentation  - The Reading Fire Dept. rescheduled their visit due d weather.  to ba will be  here  this Tues., Oct. 23, to make a presentation to classes.  PK-2 will be from 8 - 8:40 AM.  Gr. 3-6 will be from 8:45 - 9:15 AM.  The presentation will occur outside and in the multi-purpose room.  I will reschedule with your class if your library time is affected by this presentation.
