RES PRINCIPAL'S BLOG TO STAFF - Sun., Nov. 26, 2017
Dear Talented RES Staff,
I hope everyone had a lovely and rejuvenating five day break! I have college class today, but I look forward to seeing you on Monday!
SU Committee Representatives - Every school in the SU but Reading Elementary has a teacher representative on the two committees set up by the new superintendent to help move the unified SU forward. It's imperative that Reading be represented so our school has a voice in upcoming change! There is a stipend provided for the extra time. Please complete the necessary form that came with the e-mail from the SU and let me know you are doing so. Thank you!

Artist in Residence - Due to the amount of time needed to do the puppets, Art classes are being extended to the following schedule:
Lisa Kaija has asked that classroom teachers stay to help during the puppetry sessions She said it is pretty essential to have as many "hands on deck" as possible for the puppetmaking, which happens on the first three days. The puppets are quite ambitious. If so, classroom teachers will not have a planning period on Monday 11/27, Thursday11/30 and Monday 12/4. Though this is not ideal, it will be worth it to have the teachers involved in the residency and interacting with their students in the process. Contractually, you are entitled to a planning period and I am happy to provide one for those who want it. Either a sub or myself can do keyboarding without tears with your students and you can "plan" in the guidance office. Please let Sherri know what time you would like it and we will do our best to provide one. We're so blessed to work with patient and flexible professionals!
