RES PRINCIPAL'S BLOG TO STAFF - Sun., Dec. 17, 2017
Dear Thoughtful RES Staff,
It's the last week before Christmas break, and we know that sugarplums are in abundance. Again, please use respect tiles frequently to encourage respectful choices. Five days until you get a well deserved break! Breathe and practice mindfulness!
Secret Santa - Kudos to Pam for stepping up and organizing Secret Santa this year and for all who participated! Great team players make a small school!
Blog - The next blog will be published Sun., Dec. 30. There will be no blog next Sunday.
Spanish Schedule - Due to Snowflake Bazaar being held on Wed., Spanish classes will be held in classrooms. Thank you Señora for being so accommodating!
Outdoor Recess - As a guideline, if the "real feel" temperature is below 10 degrees(Fahrenheit), we will have indoor recess. It's too easy for students to get frostbite at those temperatures with the kinds of gloves that most students are wearing. When in doubt, please check with Cathy or Sherry.
Hats Wednesday - Hats will be handed out Monday. If possible, please have your students write thank you notes to Sylvia for their hats. We will send them as one package.
Book Fair - The Book Fair is starting this week. Please send home flyers with families on Mon.
Ski Runners - Based on survey results from the parents and community, and input from the Board, RES will participate with Ski Runners starting Jan. 5, 2018. The hours have dramatically changed, so students will only be missing the last hour of the school day on Fridays. Students learn in a variety of ways AND settings. For some of our students NOT providing this opportunity is limiting their exposure to winter sports in a safe, team setting that would not be happening otherwise. Thank you for being flexible and supportive of our students and their families.
