Dear Amazing RES Staff, As many of you know, I'm en route back to Vermont from my 40th high school reunion.  There's nothing like a reunion to help put life into perspective.  We had so many shared smiles when we mentioned particular teachers and staff who touched our lives those many years ago.   The impact YOU have on other's lives is immeasurable!   We welcome our new staff to our RES family!   It's going to be a fantastic year!   KUDOS to STAFF Who "Stepped Up":   Pam B. for being in charge Friday in my absence! Dear Unbelievable RES Staff, The last four days can sometimes seem like the longest, but try and "cherish" each sweet moment with your students and each other this week.  We will not all walk together again in the same way!  Remember to BREATHE!!!  Here's an interesting Edutopia article about end of year stress  and some helpful suggestions. Dear Dedicated RES Staff, KUDOS to STAFF Who "Stepped Up":   Jen for organizing the Memorial Day celebration, helping check students in and covering Friday morning meeting. Pam and Hilder for helping out with the Afterschool program for our students. Joan for subbing in Kindergarten Fri. Important Items to Know : Last Day of School - So the last day of school has now permanently chang ed to Thurs., June 14 .   Please note, that June 13 and 14 will both be half days so you will have time to clean, organize, etc.  Our retreat is Friday, June 15.   We will be reviewing next year's schedule and how to best serve our students with the staff we have.  Please come with an open mindset and positive attitude, comfortable clothes.  Please let me know if you are NOT planning on attending the retreat. Dear Amazing RES Staff, KUDOS to STAFF Who "Stepped Up":   Joan for going with 1/2 to Jr. Rangers Fri. Libby for helping out with SBAC make-ups. Patty for all her hard work to make Nature's Classroom the best possible experience for the students. Important Items to Know : Testing  - SBAC Testing continues this week for make-ups only.  Here is the  schedule .   Please be aware of where you are outside during testing with the windows open it distracts from testing.   Afterschool Programming  - Starts this week.  Please consider offering to tutor a few students so we don't lose our Title 1 After School Funding! Security Inspection - On Monday, a security expert, Mark Moody will be coming to our school to do an inspection and will be with me from about 9 - 1 PM.  He is doing security inspections on every school in the district.  PTO Staff Appreciation Week - Tomorrow the PTO will be providing baked good...
