  • All of you who are flexible and positive even when we're bombarded by demands from folks who truly don't put kids first!
  • All of you who get here super early, come in on weekends, stay late - and work way beyond your scheduled hours to do what's best for students!
Important Items to Know:



Copier Issues - When the power went out the other day, it did something to our copier and the ability to print on it. I stayed late troubleshooting it with Raph on the phone. I did not realize it wasn't in a surge protector. Speaking of such - if you don't have your computer on one, please do so. See Dennis or myself if you need one.

Timing is everything. If you need to print your report cards at home, please purchase yourself ink and turn in the receipt. We will reimburse you for one of your home ink cartridges yearly for the printing you do at home. The copier repair person will be in Monday. A new color copier is on its way within the next month.    

 Picture Money Envelopes - Please turn in all picture money envelopes to Libbet.

Parent Conferences - PLEASE provide a Google Doc with your conference schedule and share it with Libbet and I so we know who's coming in when and if they happen.

 AGAIN, I am happy to support you in anyway to make sure your days are not too long. Please let me know if you want me to join you in any of them. I am happy to get a sub so you can come in "late" or I will be happy to do a tech lesson with your students so you can meet with parents during the late afternoon.

Math PD Info. - Due to the craziness of this week's schedule, Kathy Ernst will not be here this Wed. and Thurs.  We will reschedule for another time.  

 Lights Off - In order to conserve energy, please turn off your lights when you're not in the room and Dennis asked that we remember to turn the lights off when we leave the building.  He has come in at 3 AM and found lights on.  

Literacy PD - AT RES Nov. 17 -Teacher expectations - please plan ahead:
  • Collect a class set of Writing about Reading response to planning.  
  • Co-plan with Aimee a Mini-Lesson.  
  • Teach the lesson.  Debrief about what was found 
  • Please read the "November Focal Area for Literacy" that was placed in your mailboxes.

Dear Dedicated Staff, It's hard to believe this is the last staff blog  of  the school year.  Thank you for taking the time  to read  it even though you are crazy busy with end of year items.   I want to commend those of you who are ALWAYS professional and focused on students, and kind and courteous to your colleagues and myself.  We all have an exhausting job, but it's time for a well deserved rest.   Change is always a challenge.  I applaud those of you who accept and welcome change with a  positive  attitude and as an opportunity for growth.  I hope you have a rejuvenating summer.  I'd love to have our returning staff over to my home for a cook-out in late August.   I'll be sending out an e-mail to those of you who check it.  I'll be in and out throughout the summer, so don't  hesitate  to text me if you have any questions.   We wish Beth Ann, Libbet, Greg, and Pam the best as they begin their next leg of life's journey!  You will be missed!

Dear Dynamic Staff, I was at my UVM library class this weekend and am reminded how blessed I am to work in such a small but caring school.  The book that we're currently reading is called Best Schools by Thomas Armstrong, and it is what our school culture resonates naturally.  KUDOS to STAFF Who "Stepped Up":   Heather for "filling in the holes" whenever we're shorthanded!
