RES PRINCIPAL'S BLOG TO STAFF - Sun., Sept. 24, 2017

Dear Dedicated RES Staff,

So I'm writing this in California where I am picking up my 74 yr. old sister to bring her back to Vermont to my home.  This hustle and bustle of traveling and LAX airport are a good reminder of how blessed we are to have our calm, little red school house where we are growing tomorrow's leaders.  I want to personally thank you for your sacrifice and effort on behalf of tomorrow's citizens   I will see you'all on Wed. On the way here I was e-mailing from 35,000 feet up to Sherry, so I'm in touch even if I'm not there physically.  I'm blessed to have such a supportive and competent staff!

Goals -ALL STAFF are expected to complete your goal on the attached Google Form as requested by our Superintendent.  This was due by Fri., Sept. 22.    Please see me with questions.

1st Aid/CPR Training - We will be offering a first/aid certification course here at RES on Tuesdays, Oct 3 and 10.   Please let Sherri know if you're interested.  

Wed. Superintendent Visit - During the coffee hour, Spanish will need to be in the classrooms until after 10.  Thank you for your flexibility and understanding.

                  Dear Dedicated Staff, It's hard to believe this is the last staff blog  of  the school year.  Thank you for taking the time  to read  it even though you are crazy busy with end of year items.   I want to commend those of you who are ALWAYS professional and focused on students, and kind and courteous to your colleagues and myself.  We all have an exhausting job, but it's time for a well deserved rest.   Change is always a challenge.  I applaud those of you who accept and welcome change with a  positive  attitude and as an opportunity for growth.  I hope you have a rejuvenating summer.  I'd love to have our returning staff over to my home for a cook-out in late August.   I'll be sending out an e-mail to those of you who check it.  I'll be in and out throughout the summer, so don't  hesitate  to text me if you have any questions.   We wish Beth Ann, Libbet, Greg, and Pam the best as they begin their next leg of life's journey!  You will be missed!

                  Dear Hardworking  Staff, KUDOS to STAFF Who "Stepped Up":   Paitra for cooking corn muffins for the Community forum. Pam and her son for helping provide childcare. Kathi F., Lisa K. for attending Thurs. night's presentation.                   Dear Dynamic Staff, I was at my UVM library class this weekend and am reminded how blessed I am to work in such a small but caring school.  The book that we're currently reading is called Best Schools by Thomas Armstrong, and it is what our school culture resonates naturally.  KUDOS to STAFF Who "Stepped Up":   Heather for "filling in the holes" whenever we're shorthanded! Sherry for subbing in K when we were short a sub!   Pam S. for helping with lunch duties w/the skiers on Fridays!
