Dear Dedicated RES Staff, It's been a tough week for many, but the amazing professionals at RES can handle it!  I'm honored to work with such a dedicated group of people!   KUDOS to STAFF Who "Stepped Up":   Sherry for being the best admin. asst. RES could ever ask for! Joan for helping out in Kindergarten on Friday while Pam was out. Hilder and Pam for coming in to help with the Soup Supper! Important Items to Know : Best Wishes  - Sadly Rose Grenier, our amazing PE teacher, has advised that she will not be returning in the 2018-19 school year.  We wish Rose nothing but the best.  Our PE program has been revitalized due to her hard work and dedication.   The SU will be advertising the position as hiring procedures have changed with the unified district.   Testing  - SBAC Testing begins this week for Gr. 3-6. Dear Rejuvenated RES Staff, I hope your spring break was all you wished for and more!  Mine has been busy, but I finished 4 of my 5 classes, so that's a relief!  My last one this semester is Sat., May 5, so there's light at the end of my grad. school tunnel!  KUDOS to STAFF Who "Stepped Up":   Joan for stepping in and covering Kindergarten when we were short on subs. Elaine  L. for staying and helping with lunch on Rice Bowl Day! Important Items to Know : Technology Update  - Over the break, we had a wireless access point installed in the multi-purpose room.  This will increase speeds in the multi-purpose room for specials.    Field Trips - This time of year busses become scarce.  If you have a field trip planned, please get all requests to me as soon as possible.  Please make sure copies of all permission slips are in the office and take one with you as well.  Please make sure the nurse and food service are aware of your trip

Dear Hardworking RES Staff, What a surprise that snow was Friday afternoon!   Spring is working hard to arrive, looks like we'll have a warm spring break as the temps are supposed to hit 50 by the end of the week!   There will be no blog next Sunday since it will be spring break!  The next blog will be published Sun., April 22. Though many of us welcome a "break," some students do not.  Please keep that in mind this week and perhaps review your class behavior expectations.   We are all tired and stressed, so remember to breathe and take a moment so you respond rather than react particularly this week. Dear Dedicated RES Staff, KUDOS to STAFF Who "Stepped Up":   Heather for her educational displays outside the kitchen, like the spices and her questions and humor on the  whiteboard!   Everyone for being so flexible Friday when we didn't have enough subs! Lisa for displaying the beautiful student work around the building! Important Items to Know : Safety Drills   - The SU is in the process of doing a safety audit in the SU schools.  A consultant will be coming by this week to inspect our school and review our procedures. Report Cards - Grades should be in this week.  Report cards will go home NEXT Wed., April 11.  Please have them ready for the principal to review by Monday, April 9.  Thank you.
