    Important Items to Know:

    Staff Meetings - Please note that on Mon., Nov. 5, we will be having a staff meeting instead of Tues., Nov. 6, so that Mrs. Banios, Superintendent, will be here to meet with you for 30 min. to address questions you may have regarding the classroom configuration options.  Ms. Hannah Thein will be here after Ms. Banios, for the last half hour after Ms. Baniosto address curriculum questions in her role as curriculum coordinator.  

     Conferences - Family student conferences should occur during the weeks of Nov. 12 - 19.  Please provide schedules to the principal so she will know who is in the building and can coordinate cleaning schedules, etc.  

     PBIS Reinforcers - The Student Council chose "Extra Recess" as the reinforcer for the Respect Tiles.  Based on the weather forecast, it looks like Fri. will be the warmest day.  Recess will be 10 min. longer and paras, Mrs. Tofferi, and Mrs. Knight will cover so teachers can have their 40 min. lunch period.  

     Salads Anyone?  - Ms. Czaja is investigating whether this is something that staff would like.  If you would be interested in purchasing a "to go" salad for $4.50 please let Mrs. Knight. Other suggestions are welcome. 

     Maintenance Requests - Please use blue slips for maintenance requests and put them in the principal's mailbox.  She creates a "to do" list for the custodian daily and puts your request on that. 

     Lockdown Drill - We will be having a lockdown drill EARLY this week.  Please review your procedures with your students promptly Monday morning.

     Thursday Coverage Change - Alliyah will be staying to assist with the Gr. 4 band lessons and will take her lunch during lunch duty times.  She will take K/1 to their classroom handwashing BEFORE she goes to lunch.

                            Dear Tireless RES Staff, It is so inspiring to watch our staff prepare our students for the challenges of a global world.  I will be meeting with the rest of you this week to discuss your walkthroughs and celebrate the outstanding teaching that's going on!   KUDOS to STAFF Who "Stepped Up":   Heather and Lisa who helped run to parents' houses to notify them that there was no school on Monday due to power loss! Jenn, Leticia, and Amy H. for calling parents to let them know school was closed! Sherry for coming in Sat. to finish the State Census! Lisa for all her work getting the pumpkins carved!                             Dear Dedicated and Hardworking Staff, The rain was refreshing and its certainly cooled off!   Hope you had some down time for you! KUDOS to STAFF Who "Stepped Up":   Kathi for all her work organizing the swimming for Pre-K! Lisa K. for all her work with the Lavender Sachets & Pumpkins! All of you who helped out with the Leaf Peeper's Breakfast! Important Items to Know : Parent Conferences - I am so surprised that there is no "day" for conferences here at the SU. I am happy to support you in anyway to make sure your days are not too long. Please make a Google Doc and share it with me of when your conferences are planned AND if they happen. Please let me know if you want me to join you in any of them. I am happy to get a sub so you can come in "late" or I will be happy to do a tech lesson with your students so you can meet with parents during the late afternoon.                             Dear Dynamic Staff, I was at my UVM library class this weekend and am reminded how blessed I am to work in such a small but caring school.  The book that we're currently reading is called Best Schools by Thomas Armstrong, and it is what our school culture resonates naturally.  KUDOS to STAFF Who "Stepped Up":   Heather for "filling in the holes" whenever we're shorthanded! Sherry for subbing in K when we were short a sub!   Pam S. for helping with lunch duties w/the skiers on Fridays!
